I'm a noob, so there may be nothing to this, but you also forgot that about 50%-70%(or am i just having good luck?) of the times you attack, part of your dead soldiers rise back as a zombies for free.

Well, I'm not a necromancer at all, so being a noob is still better that me. I'll alter the guide, but if there's any other necros who know more specifics about this effect, or anything else important my guide is missing, then say so.
