Yes that now includes Canadian sympathizers as long as they pledge their Kingdom to all things Canadian like, Bonhomme Carnaval, Beer, Hockey, That Fizzy Brave Beaver, Beer, Hockey, The Maple Leaf...Oh, Beer and Hockey!

Alliance Purpose:

• To defend it's members sovereignty by whatever means necessary, political intervention or military intervention.
• To promote fair and ethical game play.
• To provide assistance in time of need.
• To add structure to this game.

Alliance History:

This Alliance started at the advent of Warbook 2.0 as way for my Real Life(RL) friends to play together. Unfortunately when TJ reseted Warbook most of my friends became uninterested in starting from scratch. So, the recruiting of outside players started. One of my first Alliance recruit was HolyAssasin(InGameName-IGN). I then started searching for anyone with a IGN relating to Canada and invited them to join. The Alliance started off with small numbers and small kingdoms. As an attempt to protect my members I started negotiating Non Aggression Packs(NAP) with attackers and their respective Alliances. After seeing how open most Alliances were with the idea of a NAP, I decided to stay true to the Alliance's name and try to negotiate NAPs with other Canadian Alliances.

In order to prevent friendly fire and to develop a forum for communication with members and NAP Alliance's Leaders the Facebook Group was formed. As time went on the Alliance discussion group helped the NAPs to develop into Mutual Protection Packs (MPPs).

Three months later it is now imperative to writing Alliance Rules and Regulations, set common Alliance Strategies and policies...so, what follows are based on or is derived from past experiences...

Members Expectations:

• It is the expectation that all members read, understand and obey the Alliance's Rules and Regulations.
  
• It is expected that members do not provide the Alliance and its leadership with false information, especially in regards to battle information. "...Without Knowledge, There will be no Freedom...".
• It is the expectation of the Alliance that all members provide assist to the Alliance and it's members when the situation affords them to do so.
• It is the expectation of the Alliance that all members present themselves as ambassadors of the Alliance.
• It is the member's right and responsibility to 'speak up' at the appropriate time.
• All members are requested and expected to respect and obied by the decisions made by the leadership and/or the membership at large.
• It is the expectation of the Alliance that all members participate and join the Facebook Group - CANADIANS UNITE, EH!
• It is the expectation of the Alliance that each member maintain a record of attacks and retaliations for future usage. (for cases where conflict resolution turns into a he said she said situation - members may use the pre-established 'Data-Dump Thread' created in the Alliance discussion group).

I.) RULES & REGULATIONS (Battlefield: One-on-One Warfare):

1.) Attacks:

a.) Definition - Any forward action taken on another Warbook player. Sending of troops, Fireball spell or Earthquake spell each constitutes one(1) attack, no matter the degree of success of the action (repelled or penetrated).Land Grab spell each constitutes two(2) attacks, no matter the degree of success of the action (repelled or penetrated).

b.) Purpose - Attacks shall be used for the purpose of kingdom growth, counter-attacks, 1st party retaliations, 3rd party retaliations or solicitation for surrender.

2.) Kingdom growth by attacks:

a.) Definition - Attacking another kingdom for the purpose of land grabs in order to grow your kingdom.

b.) Usage - Kingdom growth is attained my attacking with troops or using the Land Grab spell.

c.) Limitations - Attacks for the purpose of kingdom growth shall be limited to two(2) attacks max per kingdom within a 48 hour period .

3.) Counter-attacks:

a.) Definition - Attacking another kingdom who has attacked for the purpose of land grabs in order to grow their kingdom or spells cast on you in order for the attacker to improve their stat points. Usually characterized by one or two penetrating attacks.

b.) Purpose - Counter-attacks are used to demonstrate to other players that you will not be an 'open target'.

c.) Usage - Counter-attacks must be less than or equal to the aggressor's penetrating attacks. Immediately following the counter-attack a message to inform the aggressor of the purpose of the attack and that the attacks ARE equal to their initial attack must be sent (see messaging rules and regulations below).

d.) Limitations - Number of counter-attacks must not exceed the aggressor's initial number of attacks. Land taken due to counter-attack must exceed the total land lost to the aggressor.

4.) 1st Party Retaliations:

a.) Definition - Attacking another kingdom who has abusively or chain attacked you.

b.) Usage - In situations where you are able to penetrate the abuser's defences, you will perform your own retaliations (1st Party Retaliations). Following your retaliation attacks a message to the initial attacker must be sent detailing the reasons for the retaliation (see messaging rules and regulations below). If you are unable to penetrate the abuser's defences you may then request a 3rd party Retaliations through the Alliance's Discussion Group - Aggressive Action Report.

c.) Limitations - Number of retaliation attacks must not exceed the aggressor's initial number of attacks.

5.) 3rd Party Retaliations:

a.) Definition - Attacking another kingdom who has abusively or chain attacked a fellow Alliance member.

b.) Usage - In situations were the attacked kingdom request assistance because they are unable to penetrate the abusers defences. Following your retaliation attacks a message to the initial attacker must be sent detailing the reasons for the retaliation (see messaging rules and regulations below). Assistance request can be found of the Alliance's Discussion Group page - Aggressive Action Report.

c.) Limitations - Number of retaliation attacks must not exceed the aggressor's initial number of attacks.

6.) Solicitation for Surrender:

a.) Definition - Attacking another kingdom for the purpose of soliciting a surrender. Any aggressor who has repeated chain attacked a fellow Alliance member may be considered for this action.

b.) Usage - Orders for such an attack must only come from the Alliance's Leader and its officers. Each player able to penetrate the aggressor's defences will do so as per their discretion. Following each 24 hours of attack a message to submit to the terms of surrender will be sent (message outline will be provided).

c.) Limitations - Each member participating in this action may attack as times as they wish, as long as they do not bring the kingdom(s) to full-alert. This includes sending of troops or casting spells.

II.) RULES & REGULATIONS (Battlefield: Alliance-on-Alliance Warfare):

Once a battle escalates into full-out Alliance on Alliance warfare a list of targets will be provided. If a member comes across an unknown aggressor from the targeted Alliance the member will post the aggressor's name on the pre-established discussion group's thread. Each member will find/be assigned a target similar in size to battle. On each attack the aggressor will be taken to full alert. The Alliance Leader's infrastructure will be a priority (Earthquakes and Land grabs). Any Alliance Troop supplier will be hunted out and their infrastructure targeted with spells. Tasks will be assigned to every active player to ensure success.

All of our members are adults and are excepted to act as such...no kids yet, but still refrain from profanity and offensive terms.

1.) Posting your Warbook IGN:

Each member of the Group is required to post their warbook in-game-name. In addition to your IGN, please included your Alliance/Tag if you are a member of an associated Alliance.

2.) Aggressive Action Report:

Each member requiring battle assistance is expected to post using the appropriate report. Member must include the aggressors initial attacks, aggressors kingdom stats (size and type), aggressors military strength (spy spell), and the aggressors kingdom infrastructure (survey spell).

VII.) GROWTH STRATEGY:

1.) Growth by attacks:

Prior to going on the offensive ensure you have enough gold to complete all of the following: 1.) Build Barracks 2.) Purchase ample troops for offensive 3.) Build Training Grounds 4.) Restock troops for defence 5.) Build Forts for defence.

Build Barracks if needed to reduce cost of troops. Purchase ample troops to mount an offensive. You may purchase a little more than your upkeep may allow because you will be loosing troops in battle. Maximize attack bonus by building Training Grounds (30% of your kingdom will give you 45% bonus); if you need to destroy structure start by destroying Barriers, Amplifiers, Barracks, Forts and then Mines. Go on your offensive grow to a size that does not over exert your resources. Once you get to the desired size you need to rebuild your defences. To get the maximum bonus you will need to devote 30% of your kingdom to Forts; if you need to destroy structure start by destroying Training Groups (if you had 30% Training Grounds they should now all be Forts), Amplifiers, Barracks, Barriers and then Mines. Since you are now in defensive mode all you attack bonus should now be destroyed and converted into defensive structures and money making structures...Suggestion 70% mines and 30% Forts. You may now need to restock on troops for added defences.

Repeat this for every mass-offensive and most of your attacks will penetrate and most retaliations will be repelled. For larger kingdoms this building and re-building maybe unfeasible but once you're that large you will find a method that works best for you! The only thing to remember is not to ignore your structural bonuses and what is the point of having an attack bonus when you're sleeping and not on the offensive. Have these structures either protecting your Assets or make you Gold!

2.) Growth by Land Grab Spell:

Remember this is considered 2 attacks. For all Magicians out there, only cast this spell on an opponent once in a 72 hour period. Consider using Amplifiers to maximize your casted spell.

3.) Growth by purchasing Land:

The cost of Land increase every time you purchase or as your acreage increase...So if you are to use this method ensure you save enough gold to purchase large lump acreage.

VIII.) DEFENCE STRATEGY:

• Focus your kingdom infrastructure on defences; maximize your Forts, allocate 30% of your kingdom to Forts.
• Keep your kingdom at acreage just below the main numbers, i.e. 7999 or 16499. When looking for targets, people will usually search round numbers and will not find your kingdom.

IX.) GENERAL NOTES AND ADVICE:

1.) Stat Points

Consider using your stat points to first upgrade your mana to 65. This will allow to cast 3 alchemy spells at the low cost of 20 mana. Anything above 65 and the spell cost goes up! (Magicians will want at least 100 Mana). Once your mana is up to suggested levels use your stat points to fill-in gaps...For Visionaries, use your stat points to first makeup for your lack of attack bonus. For Warmongers, use it to increase your defences. For Magicians consider increasing your spell power. Once your gaps have been even out consider increase your defence points; the higher the better. And lastly your Attack points. Some may same the best defence is a good offence, but remember that logic works only if you can blow your opponent off the face of the Earth...We can't easily do that on Warbook where the point is to hold onto what you own.

Use it frequently...it's free money! Apply it as much as you can every 5-10hours.

3.) Brimstone

All hardcore Warbook players may consider installing the Firefox plug-in called Brimstone. This plug-in stores aggressor's land and military infrastructure once you apply the appropriate spell. This plug-in also calculates the aggressor's attack and defence score points once all information is loaded.

XI.) VIOLATIONS TO ALLIANCE'S COMMON PRACTICES

1.) First offence: Written warning will be issued outlining the Alliance's expectations and detailing the infraction(s).

2.) Second offence: Alliance support will be withheld for time to be deemed appropriate for the office; one(1) week minimum. Eviction from Alliance possible.

3.) Third offence: Alliance support will be withheld for a minimum of 1 month. Eviction from Alliance possible.

4.) Fourth offence: Alliance general membership will vote to evict member from the Alliance.

XII.) GAME TERMINOLOGY

Some warbook players consider a group of 3 attacks to be one(1) block attack and a chain attack to be three(3) blocks of attack. We do not recognize such practices.

Acc (Account) - A user's account.

BF (Bottom Feeding) - The act of a larger country attacking a smaller country.

CA (Chain Attack) - 3 or more hits from a single kingdom

Ceasefire - An agreement to temporarily hault attacks between two more or more countries and/or alliances.

Channels - In FA, one will talk about the 'proper' channels. This is the process of talking to the designated people of an alliance in regards to relations.

Dealer - A person who trades troops for a set amount of money.

DP (Defensive Points) - Talent points spent in defense.

DPA (Defence Per Acre) - A country's total defensive rating divided by its kingdom size (acres).

IGN (In Game Name) - A player's country name.

FA (Foreign Aid or Foreign Affairs) - A duel meaning for two words. Foreign Aid is the act of sending or receiving troops and/or money from another country. Foreign Affairs is the communication between two or more alliances.

Farm (Farming) - The act of chain attacking a country or revisiting that same country day after day.

FB (Fireball or Facebook) - A duel meaning for two words. A fireball is an offensive spell that destroys a target's military units.

GT (Gamerstown) - A forum website that hosts alliances. Mainly used for Earth 2025, another texted based game.

K (a unit of measurement) - A 'K' is equal to 1,000. -- [ex. 20K = 20,000].

LAP (Limited-aggression Pact) - A set limit to the number of exchangeable hits between two or more alliances.

M / mil (a unit of measurement) - A 'M' is equal to 1,000,000. -- [ex. 30M = 30,000,000].

MPP (Mutual Protection Pact) - During peacetime this resembles a NAP but in times of war a MPP means that two alliances are to be considered as one. War on one is war with both

Multi (Multiple) - A collection of countries under the control of a single player.

NAP (Non-aggression Pact) - A no hit pact between two or more alliances.

OP (Offensive Points) - Talent points spent in offense.

Quake (Earthquake) - An offensive spell in the game that destroys a target's structures.

Retal (Retaliation) - A hit in response to an initial hit.

RL (Real Life) - A relative term used by players to describe the world 'outside' Warbook, though some may argue that is not 'real'.

SP (Spell Points) - Talent points spent in spells.

TA (Trade Agreement) - A feature in the game between two countries to increase revenue.

TJ (TJ Murphy) - The creator of Warbook.

WB (Warbook) - A game we love and hate.

WSOD / Whiteout (White Screen of Death) - A term that describes the time in which the Warbook server is down.

Your Hero

Your hero affects your kingdom in a number of ways. Here is an explanation of your hero's stats:

Level

Your hero's current level. The higher your level, the more difficult it is to level up.

Attack

Percentage impact of your hero on attack capability.

Defence

Percentage impact of your hero on defensive capability.

Spell Power

The magical ability of your hero. The higher this stat, the more devastating your hero's spells will be.

Mana

Your hero's current mana, as well as his/her maximum mana level. Of course, a hero cannot cast spells without mana.
Each hour, a hero will regenerate mana equal to 10% of his/her maximum mana capacity, with a minimum regeneration of 5.
Magicians have double mana regeneration, regenerating 20% per hour with a minimum of 10.

Extra Stat Points

Can be used to increase attack by 1, defense by 1, spell power by 1, or max mana by 5. Each time your hero levels up, 2 additional stat points will be earned.

Starting Hero Statistics

Building

Your lands are not of much use if you never build any structures on them. Each open acre only provides 10 gold/hr in revenue. Instead, it might be good to build some buildings on your open land. Each structure costs 500 gold, before hero type effects are factored in. These are the building types available to you:

Mines

Mines are the driving force behind your economy. Each mine provides 30 gold/hr for your kingdom. Add some trade agreements, and watch your economy flourish.

Barracks

Barracks help to reduce your training costs. The higher proportion of your land that is covered by these, the lower your recruiting and upgrading costs.

Forts

Forts augment the defensive capabilities of your standing army. Cover more of your lands with forts, and your defense should improve.

Training Grounds

Well trained troops perform better on the battlefield. Training grounds act as the opposite of forts, providing your troops with an offensive bonus.

Even the best magicians need some help once in a while. Amplifiers increase the natural strength of certain targeted spells.
