Veterans Guide

By Phillip Rock at http://warbookforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=122.0

Here you will find some helpful tips to help you become better than the best in WarBook.

If you haven't read the Intermediates' Guide To A Powerful Character, then you should read it before reading this topic.

This specific topic is for those who have gotten past the mid levels of WarBook, and are between 50k and any higher acreage.

1) You are the top of the food chain. Prove it. Bottom feed every now and then. One, it decreases wrinkles in the forehead. Two, you need to get some land every now and then, so why not terrorize the youth? I'm not saying bottom feed every single time. Maybe once a day, take time out, and show the little ones how it feels to get pummeled. Don't destroy them. Just hit them once. I know you are thinking, "How in the world does this help me?". Well, I will tell you when I figure it out. Such as by the time you get to the last tip.

2) Make sure you have 100 times your acreage in defense. If you have read the other two topics, you know how to do the calculations and whatnot.

3) FIREBALLS! They are actually really useful. Use one before an attack. It will help.

4) Always aim for people around your acreage. Once you hit the 100k mark, people are get a little pissy about being hit at all, and losing stuff. Then they chain the heck out of you. So maintain attacking someone around your size or below, cause somebody might not be too happy with you and if they are 200k bigger than you, then you are kinda screwed. When you go to your alliance asking for help then, unless you have one of the gods behind you, you aren't gonna get anything. Unless you have a really nice one like me Smiley. (I still have no idea what I would do if someone 3 times bigger than our largest member started attacking...)

5) Keep interested in the game. Do some change-ups. Conquer one day, be a capitalist the next. Who knows, you might go onto the forums and give away fireballs for free. Whether or not you nuke the guy who asked for your help or not is not my call, but you see the point. So get off your lazy American *** and do something. (For all other nationalities, please pay no attention to that last sentence.)

6) You have a life you know, or at least I hope you do. Actually, if you aren't on WarBook 24/7, you will enjoy it more. I'm not saying quit checking every hour. I'm just saying go do something every now and then, so that your alliance doesn't lose you because you got bored and then when the alliance gets attacked you aren't there to bail them out Smiley.

7) I finally figured out why you need to bottom feed! Want to know? Because by the time you get to 300k acres, there is nothing left to do. Everyone around you is too powerful, so, down the chain you go. Hey, just think about when you started and got chained by those massive people when you were at 100k. Then will see the light. Or at least get my point anyways, cause the light from your monitor being on should be, well, on already.

How do you get your defense score up to 75x your acreage without going negative? My defense score is about 40x, with forts up to the max. In order to get to 75x, I'd have to double my military and then I'd be negative gold!
