The Meglomaniacs - MEGLO

We are The Meglomaniacs, also known as the MEGLO alliance.

We are 700+ members strong and growing. We seek to take over the world... anyone can join.

We are led by a council of 5 members with several officers and committees reporting to them. No one member is unilaterally in charge of the MEGLOs, and all members are valuable. If you join The Meglomaniacs, you will have a powerful and active alliance to back you up with diplomacy, military/magical force, supplies, and guidance.

If one of us is unreasonably attacked we will all retaliate until the aggressor is destroyed, or they can join The MEGLO's!

ATTACK POLICY:

Wars are costly so we refrain from provoking them. Chain attacking is defined for all intents and purposes by the MEGLO alliance as any combination of attacks, whether military or magical, totaling three or more in a character's log. We advise our members to attack a maximum of 2 times in a 24 hour period to avoid provoking retaliation.

If a MEGLO attacks 3 or more times they may expect heavy retaliation from the victim or their victim's alliance (depending on the individual's/alliance's policies). Individual MEGLOs must try to solve this diplomatically before enlisting the help of designated MEGLO diplomats (see below) or the military might of the entire alliance. MEGLOs should keep in mind that it is wise to look at the size and details of a target's alliance should they have one, and to consider the risk of laying the foundation for an unfavorable situation.

If a MEGLO member is found guilty of continuous provocation they will be punished by our enforcers and possibly kicked from the alliance with a target on their back. Any member caught provoking or chaining an alliance The Meglomaniacs have a NAP (Non-Aggression Pact) with is likely to be in BIG trouble.

COUNTER POLICY:

If a MEGLO is attacked (by MEGLO definition) once or twice, this is considered to be part of the game and not an issue for the entire alliance. The attacked MEGLO may retaliate one for one, and should not exceed the 2 hits per 24 hour period policy at this point.

One-for-One Exchanges:

If the attacker strikes again with less than three hits, the MEGLO may exceed the 2 hit policy, go one-for-one, and reply with the in-game message "retal".

A MEGLO will not exceed 4 one-for-one hits in an hour on a weaker opponent, especially if they are in an alliance. If the opponent is stronger and the MEGLO is faring poorly in the exchange, the attacked MEGLO should not exceed 4 one-for-one hits in an hour if they desire alliance support. If the MEGLO is attacked again, bringing the total to 6 attacks in an hour, a warning message should be sent by the MEGLO to the attacker. If the MEGLO is still attacked after the first 6, the MEGLO may then involve the alliance by posting in the forum (see below). If the MEGLO is attacked 3 or more times at any point in the exchange and desires assistance, they should refer to the "Chain Attacks" policy (below).

Chain Attacks:

Any individual who attacks a MEGLO alliance member three or more consecutive times without equal provocation may expect retaliation above and beyond that from the MEGLO alliance as a whole. MEGLOs should post the attack (see below) and follow guidance in regard to diplomacy (see bottom) before taking action.

Posting:

If, as a MEGLO member, you are chain attacked (by MEGLO definition), simply post the aggressor's name in the Facebook page thread titled "Post IGN, acre size, hero type and spy report of kindoms (X)K+ ACRES you want attacked" or on the MEGLO website under "Post spy reports and acres of enemies".

DO NOT POST IN THE FORUMS UNLESS YOU HAVE BEEN ATTACKED AT LEAST THREE TIMES.

Diplomacy:

If the individual is in another alliance, it is very likely that MEGLO diplomats will try to resolve the situation before laying our entire alliance's sights on the enemy. If a MEGLO is advised to hold tight, they should take that advice until the diplomatic process is complete. Members should not take it upon themselves to strike down the enemy, because wars are started this way. If the aggressor refuses to pay reparations to the damaged MEGLO member, he will be dealt with accordingly.

MEGLOS SHOULD NOT GROUP ATTACK AN ENEMY WITHOUT ALLIANCE SUPPORT. WE DON'T LIKE TO BE INVOLVED IN MASSIVE, COSTLY WARS.

WAR POLICY:

MEGLOs don't start wars, they finish them. Members should look to the forums, private messages, and in-game messages for attack coordination from alliance leaders.

Any and all changes in the status of hostilities will be posted in, and likely mass-mailed from, our Facebook forum. Non-Aggression Pacts (NGP) and Treaties will likely be reflected immediately on the alliance page within Warbook.

Any spies that are identified during hostilities (and likely afterward as well) will face the wrath of the entire MEGLO alliance until they have been destroyed.

RECRUITING POLICY:

To strengthen the alliance, it is necessary to bring in dedicated warbookers of various levels, character classes, and acreages. For active recruiting, we prefer to contact players with kingdoms greater than or equal to 25,000 (25k) acres and with a level at, about, or greater than 10. We accept smaller kingdoms, but we like to see growth (with MEGLO help if necessary) to our minimums quickly.

MEGLO members are urged to (though not limited to) attack people with no alliance as they are more likely to join ours; although trying to convince other alliance's members to defect is also encouraged as they may be swayed to join us. Once successfully attacked or counter attacked send your opponent a message offering them an opportunity to join the ranks of The Meglomaniacs.

New MEGLO members are encouraged to reach out to others in our Facebook forum, as this is the only way that more experienced MEGLOs can lend their assistance, knowledge, and supplies to you.

MEGLO members should leave mass-active recruiting efforts to designated MEGLO recruiting officers.

These are our recruiting officers, listed here by their "In Game Names" (IGN).

Members may use the alliance chat under the "make allies" section of their Warbook page, but it is rarely checked for official business. We encourage all members to use the Facebook forum to post supply requests, spy reports, and chain attackers.

Please look for the appropriate thread and post in it, rather than starting new ones because this cuts down on clutter.

RESOLVING PROBLEMS WITH MEGLOS:

If you have any issues with MEGLOs in regard to chain attacks or other unfriendly behavior, please take it up with our diplomats/negotiators at their (IGN).
