How to compete with a slayer
Despite its weaknesses, a slayer can still be played competitively, my slayer has reached over 1million acres and there are even some slayers at above 3 million.
To succeed with a slayer, you have to minimise its weaknesses and maximise its strengths, we shall cover its weaknesses first to
Low defence
A slayers defence is low, do not attempt to beat off attacks as the few attacks that you would repel aren't worth maintaining them
Likewise, do not put any points into defence. But what should you do to keep your conquests?
Weak economy
Slayers themselves have high casaulties whilst attacking, this is a drain on their economy, thus they get short on cash.
To compensate for this, invest in a mana level of at least 65/65 to allow yourself to use alchemy 3 times a day.
Attacking with a slayer: Target Selection
Attacking with a slayer: Timing
Check to see if many moguls and generals are on scarce resources, this is evidence for many active characters, don't attack.
Attack when not many characters are active.
Why?
Retaling with a slayer.
If more slayers retalled, then less people would attack slayers
but how would this help you individually?
If you have a distintive username, people will remember the pain you caused them and thus attack you less.
How should you retal?
How to do a kamakazi attack?
Send just 1/4 of your army on the attack (The smaller you are, the more casualties the target would suffer)
You will be retalled, but your casaulties should be far less then your opponents (a slayer perk)
Stat Allocation
It is best for a slayer to invest (11) points into mana (to 65 mana) to give more mana for bloodlust/alchemy.
Invest the rest in attack, waaaaaggggh!!!!!!!!
Army Composition.
100% assassins,
Why? Because, assuming 25% barracks, 6 attack worth of slayer is 250G, 6 Attacks worth of dealer bought soldiers=186+ but you have to pay 6 upkeep as opposed to 3 and assassins have less casualties. The advanced landrunning tactic can work but its beyond this guide.
Land Composition.
75% mines
25% barracks (100% mines only is advisable when you won't buy troops for more then 13 hours.)

- Firstly, join a clan, they make people less likely to attack you.
- Secondly, retal to make sure people don't see you as an easy target. We shall cover this in more detail later
- Thirdly, don't attack during high volume periods as it lowers your alert level, making you more vulnerable to attack

Attacking with a slayer: Target Selection
- Attack upwards, Warmongers and Mages have the lowest defence (save the odd slayer) this earns the most land.
- Do not attack those who have High alert/Plentiful resources as this is evidence for a strong defence.
- Still attack those who are Medium/Scarce, this is because the term scarce actually covers two resource levels and the first level still gives a decent return. Thouse who have been attacked to this level should be on medium.
Attacking with a slayer: Timing
Check to see if many moguls and generals are on scarce resources, this is evidence for many active characters, don't attack.
Attack when not many characters are active.
Why?
- Less counter attacks
- Less enemies attracted to your lower alert status
- More targets on None/Plentiful, this will maximise your returns.
- Less lag/White screens (especially useful when trying to make the most out of bloodlust.)

If you have a distintive username, people will remember the pain you caused them and thus attack you less.
How should you retal?
- Firstly, don't retal immediately as it opens you up for further attacks
- If the target appears weaker then you, then just attack normally..
- If the target appears stronger then you, then it would be best to do a kamakazi attack.
