The magician is a powerful magical hero, who prefers using magic over using brute force.

Have your land at approximately 75% mines, and 25% amplifiers. Spend hero points on only mana. Spell power increases will never be sufficient to make up for the loss in mana. When building troops, don't mess with knights or pikeman, go straight for the relatively cheap elites. Try to keep as many troops as you can so your income as low as possible (but still positive), and use your mana in alchemy 3 times every 5 hours (instead of 3 times every 10 hours like the other classes). Then just use physical attacks to grow and gain experience.
If as a magician you get chained by a larger army than you, you have the advantage of pouring a rain of fireballs on them until you can physically defeat them. If you put all of your mana into the fireballs, it won't take long to seriously decimate their forces.

that isn't a strategy... there are two ways to level. one is to have very high mp so u can send many fireballs often, then taking down the enemy with your army. it is also wise to have a friend back u up withs soldiers or money (if u have no friends, make a dif account =) ). If u rather play safe and not to manage two accounts, keep your lands at 55% mines. keep a decent amount of pikemen, small amount of knights, and a good amount of wizards. explore in small amounts. forts are very necessary. happy levelin

keep your mines at 0% and use spy to find high level autos with alot of gold attack them and use that money to build your army with mages you can't go in to the red so this works nicely you can level quickly and you don't have to wait for gold and by the time you hit level 20 you won't be able to use your mana quicker than it replenishes so you can grow as quickly as you want to. It sound crazy but it's been working awesome for me. put all your stat points into mana and a couple into spell power and stay at 25% amplifiers that way if someone messes with you you can rain down a bunch deadly fireballs on them and reduce them to rubble. I'm at level 37 w/ 2.5mil elites and 125k acres after restarting 7 days ago.

first thing only buy elites the rest is a waste of gold second exp points put them on mana and spell power do not put on attack or def this will help you allot for what % of your land put it i 75% mines and 25% amplifiers you can always find a warmonger to buy solders off so there you go hope you find this work's for you
