Here you will find some helpful tips to help you expand and become one of the most powerful adversaries on WarBook.
This specific topic is for those who have just started, and are between 0 and 3k acres.
1) Get all your trade routes filled ASAP. They will up your income by 15% or 25% depending on your hero type.
2) Use only regular soldiers until you hit about 3k acres. Up to that point, no one really has any elites or upgraded units.
3) Don't spread thin. Keep your defense score at 50 times your acreage until you hit 3k acres. Some people will break through, but most won't. This will strain your resources, but it is worth it. To get a rough estimate of the troops needed, take your acreage, then multiply by fifty. Then that is how many soldiers you need to have to keep your defense score at 50 times your acreage. (I am assuming you are going to use a regular soldier, with at attack of 1 and a defense of 1. If you use another soldier type with more defense, then divide the product of your acreage and 50 by the defense of the unit you are going to use. That will tell you the number of troops you need.)
4) USE YOUR HEAD! Don't attack someone far more powerful than you. Stick to someone around your level and acreage.
5) Keep your acreage at a 999. Such as 999, 1999, or 2999. I recommend this to any player at any acreage. It, and having an alliance tag next to your kingdom, prevents 70% of most attacks.
6) Alchemy. Use it. If you don't have the mana to use alchemy, then don't worry about it.
7) Don't worry about attacking. Just buy your land until you get to 3k acres. Its cheap.

According to this, when starting out, your defense score should be 50 times your acreage. Since it says only to build soldiers, it would take 50,000 soldiers to meet this requirement when just starting out. You don't have anywhere near that amount of money at the start......seems a little flawed to me. It would take days to get the money to buy 50,000 soldiers.

How to level up: gain experience points.
You gain experience by winning battles, or by repelling attacks. The number of experience points you gain depends on the relative level difference between you and your opponent. -3 (or more) levels = 0 xp -2 levels = 1 xp -1 level = 2 xp same level = 3 xp +1 level = 4 xp +2 (or more) levels = 5 xp |
